Tegan and Sara Tattoos
Tegan: I have a tree on my right arm. The significance of it is kind of personal, but I think, in general, trees always have a similar meaning to most people: Tree of life and, like, the idea of something living on me is kind of cool, and I really like the color work.
Sara: These two tattoos I got really close together. The six lines, I got it for six strings on the guitar.
Tegan: Same kid of scene. It’s a heart and a tree. It’s a similar vibe. Drawn by the same guy.
Sara: And this tattoo is the only one I’ve had a problem with. This one got seriously infected when I got it, and it was a terrible spot to have it — so close to so many veins and tendons. It was a miserable experience,The circle got really infected.
It never really turned out perfect, but I like it and I’m not sad I got it.
